THE MAN WHO LIVED FOR HUMANITY

hey everyone , there are many famous people in the world that we know but there are some people who are rich from heart and i am talking about the guy who served his life for serving others , that man is ABDUL SITAR EDHI , born in 1928 in India who came to Pakistan after the division , this man died on 8 july 2016 cause of death is kidney failure , he is a man whose last words before dying    were

“take care of the poor of my country “,

and many people came for his funeral including the general of Pakistan army and many VIP’s due which the road were blocked and poor people could not go but on the other day they again kept the funeral so the poor can go , you may be confused as who is this guy abdul sitar edhi made the edhi foundation in 1951  which he made at 5000 rupees which is 74.477 us dollars , this foundation slowly spread through out  the country and grew  more and more now it runs the worlds largest ambulance service and offers 24 hour emergency service , it also operates orphanages ,women’s shelter , rehab centers for drug addicts and mentally ill people , he  was also referred to Pakistan version of mother Teresa and BBC wrote that he most respectable person , the children that are abandon on garages or are lost edhi foundation takes care of them if they are abandon then they take care or if they are lost then the make them meet there families , during SWAT operation when he came to know about the curfew there he took 40 ambulances and reached there when the officials stopped him on the entrance and asked it can be dangerous he said he is worried about the people that are there in curfew ,  there are so much he has done for humanity now he gets 1 core funds but he do not spend a single penny on him he wears simple clothes and spend his whole life in simplicity , in Afghanistan when he opened a center there and the staff bought some chairs for guests and journalists to sit and when he came and saw this he became upset as he thought that money could have helped someone , as a child he was like this ,when his mother would give him two penny he would use one and give one to someone needy .

he has received many honors and awards for his work too , now that he has died it is said that the orphans in orphanages are again orphaned the last time he came to the orphanage was when he was in ambulance but his love for children was so much the kids in orphanage used to call him father .

i wanted to talk and wrote about this man who did so much for society ,people, poor and was so rich at heart , and had such a big heart i am a little late to write about him but i wanted to honor him such a great guy lived he was a common man but did so much 🙂

i would end this with his quote

” PEOPLE HAVE BECOME EDUCATED BUT HAVE NOT BECOME HUMAN ”
